Our Team

Reyne Black

Clinic Director

Qualifications: Bachelor of Exercise Science (2011)

Master of Physiotherapy (2013)

Reyne grew up in Forster-Tuncurry and always aspired to be a Physiotherapist from a young age.

Since completing his degree at the Gold Coast, Reyne moved back to his local area and commenced working in 2013. Working under the experience of Rod and Di Tyter and his personal pursuit of further professional development has become the Clinic Director and Senior Physiotherapist at Forster Tuncurry Physiotherapy and Allied Health.

Reyne enjoys working closely with his clients to set achievable and realistic goals; assisting people move away from pain and return to their leisure activities. He has a keen interest in exercise rehabilitation with his background of Exercise Science – especially teaching Clinical Pilates.

When outside of work Reyne enjoys football, golf and the general outdoors. More time spent with family and friends make for a better day.

Nick Hardy

Physiotherapist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (2017)

Nick moved to Forster from Newcastle after completing his physiotherapy degree in 2017. He commenced working at FTP in 2018 and has loved it since the start. Growing up, Nick spent a lot of time at the physio with his own sporting injuries, resulting in him wanting to pursue his own career as a physiotherapist.

Nick enjoys working with a vast range of clients to achieve whatever goals they have set out. He enjoys taking people from the early stages of being in pain right through to the stage where they are doing what they love to do again. Nick has an interest in strengthening and Pilates based exercise.

Outside of work Nick has a large interest in all sports. He also enjoys hiking and spending time with friends/family and his two dogs.

Matthew Koch

Physiotherapist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (2019)

Matt started at FTP in 2020 shortly after graduating from Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Newcastle. He works in both the outpatient and rehabilitation sides of the business and has further training in dry needling. He is an engaging and personable clinician that ensures customised care to the individual and their needs. He has been deeply interested in the human body and movement since engaging with physiotherapists through sport at a young age.

Matt is keenly invested in helping clients to understand any causes of their symptoms and implements an approach that caters to the clients needs and facilitates regaining control of their function. Matt has a large focus on functional movement and Clinical Pilates.

Matt is a long term local of the area and has a history in rugby league. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors, fishing, surfing and camping.

Kaitlin Roberts

Physiotherapist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (2017)

After growing up in Armidale, and completing her physiotherapy degree in Newcastle, Kaitlin moved to Forster in 2018 and started working with FTP, and has loved it from the start. With varied interests in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation, Kaitlin predominantly provides home visits to our community clients, with a focus on falls prevention and allowing people to maintain their independence.

She is currently studying Women’s Health, with the goal to begin providing treatment for pre, peri and postnatal patients, and women in the community suffering with pelvic floor dysfunction in the near future.

Outside of work, Kaitlin enjoys hiking, running, reading, and spending time with her family and two dogs.

Matt Doherty

Physiotherapist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (2011)

Matt moved back to the area in 2012 following graduation from Newcastle University and has been at FTP since.

Matt enjoys giving clients access to Physiotherapy within their own homes. Guiding clients through their rehabilitation within the comfort of their home.

Matt enjoys neurological rehabilitation and post-operative rehabilitation. 

Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He spends his weekends in winter playing Hockey.

Nicola Merrifield

Physiotherapist

Nicola was born in Cornwall, England and completed her Physiotherapy degree in Manchester, UK.  She worked in different departments in the National Health Service in the UK including musculoskeletal, neurology, elderly care, respiratory and community settings.

Nicola is currently enjoying partaking in Australian further education in person and online particularly regarding shoulder injuries. She enjoys assisting people to get back to functional fitness, whatever that might mean to them.

Hannah Sutton

Physiotherapist

Hannah is a passionate and dedicated physiotherapist, having graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2022. With a deep commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential, Hannah finds immense satisfaction in working alongside clients to achieve their personal health and wellness goals. In addition to professional practice, Hannah thrives on outdoor adventures, enjoying time spent in nature and staying active.

A strong advocate for a balanced life, Hannah also values time spent with family and friends, and is an active member of the church community. Visits to the gym help Hannah maintain a healthy lifestyle while pursuing a variety of fitness goals. Driven by a desire to make a positive impact, Hannah is always eager to support others on their journey to better health, mobility and well-being.

Jillian Hull

Occupational Therapist

Jill is an Occupational Therapist specialised in Cancer and Palliative Care. Jill has been helping clients with their lymphoedema needs for the past 14 years both in Sydney and in Forster and joined the Forster Tuncurry and Allied Health team in 2017.

Jill considers it a privilege to be able to work in this area and help clients (and their caregivers) to be able to participate in activities that are meaningful to them throughout their cancer journey. She also enjoys ocean swimming, travelling, netball, her veggie garden, and being a part of the church family at Coast EC.
