Physio working with client

Your first physiotherapy appointment is an important step toward recovery, better mobility and long-term wellbeing. Whether you’re visiting for a recent injury, chronic pain or post-surgical rehabilitation, our goal is to understand your needs and create a treatment plan tailored to you.

Typically your first physiotherapy appointment with Forster Tuncurry Physiotherapy & Allied Health is a longer session to allow for us to perform a thorough initial assessment. During this first appointment we will:

  • Discuss your goals

You’ll begin by discussing the reason for your appointment and how your symptoms developed.

  • Complete an assessment

You'll go through a series of movements, and depending on the injury we’ll also perform a sequence of physical tests.

  • Discover your options

A conversation and questions, along with a physical examination, are usually enough for the physio to arrive at a diagnosis from there we will discuss the treatment options with you.

  • Start a custom treatment plan

Your All Care physiotherapist will develop a treatment plan with you that will incorporate a number of different options that are best suited to you and your symptoms in order for you to achieve your goals.

What to Bring
