You don’t always need to wait at the hospital or see a specialist to have a fracture treated. Our physiotherapists are trained in fracture management and can assess your injury, apply a cast and provide follow-up care — all in one place. With fast appointments and expert care, we’ll help you protect your injury, heal properly and get back to normal life sooner.
A broken bone is a common event and at our Forster Tuncurry Physiotherapy & Allied Health we provide professional fracture management, including the application and care of fibreglass plaster casts and splints to support bone healing. Whether you’ve sustained a broken bone from a fall, sports injury or accident, our trained team ensures your fracture is immobilised correctly for optimal recovery.
We use high-quality materials and proven techniques to apply casts, helping protect the injured area, maintain proper bone alignment and reduce pain during healing. We also provide clear instructions on caring for your cast and what to watch for, so you can feel confident throughout your recovery.
From initial assessment to follow-up care and cast removal, our goal is to make your fracture treatment as comfortable and effective as possible.
Not only can we apply your cast but we are very well-placed to follow-up your rehabilitation after the broken bone has healed. Injuries that have been in a cast and immobilised for a period of weeks require rehabilitation once the cast is removed to ensure that the affected joints regain full movement, strength and pain-free function.
To be eligible for fracture management we require an x-ray for confirmation and a referral from your treating GP.
